My Week in (iPhone) Photos

by Kelly on June 25, 2011

in Life, etcetera

So…I really love Instagram. It’s making me document my life far more.. I’m recording those little moments that otherwise would have vanished like dust.

It is also challenging me creatively to use my little iPhone camera to make nice shots. Some people do this very well, me, I am still trying! ~:At this point, while I am talking about photography with the iPhone, I would LOVE to point you to one of my favourite photography articles ever. It’s called Your Camera Doesn’t Matter and it is really interesting, especially if you are one of those people who might be hesitant to explore photography because you don’t have a ‘fancy’ camera.:~

So here is a little mosaic of this week’s Instagrams…

Instagram photos 19-25 June 2011

So, as you can see, I like cats, and the colour pink, and Australia; and I did a little crocheting this week; and it seems I also like to take sunflare shots. :)

Here are my Instagrams on the web, and my username is kellyrachel if you’d like to find me on Instagram. Let me know if you find me there, so we can get to know each other!

Instagram looks like fun! I might be getting an Ipod touch this weekend as a birthday present, so I might get Instagram soon!

I love this. What a great idea to capture your life on your iPhone. I’ve been playing around with my iPhone camera recently. I love your photos. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Kristy! *blushing* :)
It IS a great idea to capture things on your phone, because it is the one thing you are most likely to have on you at all times. I have an SLR camera which takes lovely photos, but is really too cumbersome to lug around everywhere. But a phone just fits in your pocket! It’s just too easy. I am all about convenience! ;)

It looks like everybody has to have an iPhone. In my small country iPhones have beed sold from this month on. I haven’t got one yet, but I did make some iPhone bags.
Kelly, I love the range of your photos – cat’s toe is my favourite. Love cats…. and dogs :)

Wow, that’s pretty incredible to think iPhones are only recently available in your country! Have they been selling well?
Thank you so much for your kind comments as well. I am totally a cat person as well. Dogs I like on a case-by-case basis. :D

I LOVE the picture of the grey cat’s paw. I’ve just gotten kittens after about 5 years without a cat and am loving the pictures I get of them.
I also wanted to say that I love getting your Blog updates, you always have such wonderful creations in them. I hope that as soon as I have a desk in my craft room, I’ll be able to get creative too.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Aw thanks, Alice!
I had a period of about 4 years without a cat while my children were small. How I missed them! As they say, a house is not a home without a cat. :D

I really appreciate your compliments as well. I hope you get your desk set up soon so you can start creating!!

Nice one! I just downloaded that app over the weekend… I cant get my iphone to get good shots, mine doesnt focus well and has an annoying delay when I press ‘go!’ Hoping Instagram might be my salvation?!

Do you have the iPhone 4 or 3? I found my iPhone 3GS was pretty craptastic at taking photos, but since upgrading to the iPhone 4 I have been really happy with it! You do have the option of adding some nice filters through Instagram, which can make your photos pop. And of course there are many apps out there for editing your iPhone photos and adding filters and whatnot. Let me know how you go. If you join, give me a holler so I can follow you. :D
